Jomon
The Jomon collection is born out of a collaboration between our design studio and Ceramica Gatti, the oldest and most famous pottery boutique of all Faenza. Founded at the beginning of the 1900s, it soon distinguished itself for its innovative techniques and creative vision
The collection takes inspiration from Japanese influences, while maintaining a traditionally Italian soul. From the encounter between the idols of the ancient Japanese culture Jomon and the auspicious symbols of Italian tradition, four fun characters are born. Some have candles on their heads, while others carry fruit and everyday objects. Domestic sprites protect the house and their tenants, sharing their company and asking in return for only one small space to live in. Come and meet Giovanni, Ginevra, Giorgio and Giulietta.

We are material design experts, devoted to promote materials that are made in Italy, to share the Italian taste. From terracotta, handmade in traditional way which we reinterpret under a modern point of view, to digital and traditional designs that we cold print on slabs of porcelain fiber or aluminum, we share our creativity and expertise with the industry.
We want to share a new vision with the market, give clients not only an extensive range to choose from, but also the possibility to create their own vision, thanks to our own design studio. We help them come up with the best design, choose the right material for the projects, and are open to customization. We work with the client, for the client.
Founded in 1928 by Riccardo Gatti in Faenza, the workshop has been characterized, since the beginning, by its assiduous research of techniques and innovation, and for the vast production of incredibly unique creations.
Distinctive feature of the workshop is the artisanal labour, the completely handmade production of the entire majolica cycle; another feature is the interaction with artists and designers which, over time has become more fruitful, enriching the wealth of knowledge of the artisans involved, as well as their ability to listen and interpretate, fundamental qualities to guarantee flourishing collaboration between authors and craftsmen. Like an authentic artisan workshop, Ceramica Gatti 1928 is a versatile reality, a place of cultural and value transmission, of intersections between disciplines, perspectives on reality, passion for work and a unique meeting point between different professionals.
